Sarah Amelia (Amy) Sebring Kahle Ackerman, was born October 1, 1919, and passed February 10, 2019.
She was born on a homestead in the badlands outside of Circle, Montana. Amy grew up in Montana. She graduated from Sydney High School in Montana. She attended Willamette University in Salem, Oregon where she met Karl Kahle, Jr., who became her husband. Karl's career took them to several towns and cities in Oregon, where they had four children. They settled in Salem before building their dream home in Aurora, Oregon. Karl preceded her in death in 1987.
In 1989, she married Paul Ackerman, who attended their same church. Paul preceded her in death in 2002. Amy was a follower of Jesus Christ, devoted wife, dedicated mother, loving grandmother, prayer warrior, devoted church servant, and loyal friend.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Canby United Methodist Church.
The public is welcome to a viewing on Tuesday February 19, 2019 from 12 to 5:00 pm at the Canby Funeral Chapel. A memorial service will take place on Wednesday February 20, 2019 at 1:00 pm at Canby United Methodist Church.
A private family graveside service will be held at Aurora Community Cemetery. Amy will be buried beside her first husband Karl Kahle.
