Patricia (Pat) Darlene Hosler, was born July 13, 1949 and passed peacefully in her Yuma, Arizona home February 19, 2019.
She was born in Oregon City, OR to the late Ralph and Lois Thackery. She graduated from Tigard High School. After graduation, Pat met her husband, Darrell Hosler of Salem and they wed on February 14th, 1970.They continued to reside in Salem where they raised their two children in their country home for most of their lives.Pat loved yardwork, sunshine and being outside.Darrell preceded her in death in 2018.
Pat leaves behind her two children, Wade Hosler and Debbie (Ty) Kraft and grandchildren; Kobe, Blake, Mckenna, and Keira. She also leaves behind her two sisters, Linda (Rick) Friesen and Vernona (Ron) Krause; and several nieces and nephews.
There will be a viewing Thursday February 28, 2019 from 3 to 5 pm and Friday March 1, 2019 from 11 to 1 pm at the Canby Funeral Chapel.A funeral service will take place on Friday March 1, 2019 at 2 pm at the Canby Funeral Chapel.Following the service, you are invited to a reception at the Ballroom atop the Backstop Bar & Grill, 211 N Grant Street, Canby, OR 97013.
Patricia’s wishes are to be cremated.Later this summer, the family will spread her ashes in the ocean near her husbands’ coordinates outside Depot Bay.
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Salvation Army, Family Services & Lighthouse shelter, 1977 Front Street, Salem OR 97301.
The family would like to thank the staff of Hospice Compasses, Desert Ridge Mortuary and the Canby Funeral Home.
