VIRGINIA DORIS KEIL (WATTS) OF CANBY, OREGON PASSED AWAY ON MARCH 6, 2019 FOLLOWING AN EXTENDED ILLNESS.

SHE WAS BORN ON MARCH 29, 1923 IN A LOG CABIN ON THE FAMILY HOMESTEAD ON BARLOW MONITOR ROAD WHERE SHE WAS RAISED. SHE ATTENDED WOODBURN HIGH SCHOOL AND GRADUATED IN THE CLASS OF 1940, THEN ATTENDED N.W. BUSINESS COLLEGE IN PORTLAND, OREGON.

ON JUNE 22, 1963 SHE MARRIED HOWARD KEIL IN THE CHRIST LUTHERAN CHURCH IN AURORA, HE PRECEDED HER IN DEATH ON MAY 2, 1996.

SHE WORKED AS A SECRETARY AT THE FORD GARAGE IN OREGON CITY THEN WENT TO WORK AS A LEGAL SECRETARY FOR ATTORNEY ROBERT M. MULVEY WHO WAS THEN APPOINTED AS A DISTRICT COURT JUDGE IN CLACKAMAS COUNTY.SHE MOVED WITH HIM WHERE SHE WORKED AS HIS PERSONAL LEGAL SECRETARY UNTIL SHE RETIRED IN 1985.

IN HER YOUNGER YEARS SHE WAS A MEMBER OF 4-H HIGH SCHOOL HORSE CLUB, RIDING HORSES IN THE ROSE PARADE, AND THE MOLALLA PARADE AND SHE RODE WITH THE ST. PAUL TRAIL RIDERS.

HER HOBBIES AND INTEREST INCLUDED HORSES, DOGS, EXOTIC BIRDS, PLANTS AND GARDENING. TAKING ADVENTURE DRIVES, COLLECTING ROCKS, AND SPENDING TIME WITH HER FAMILY.SHE LOVED GOING OUT TO LUNCH WITH HER SISTER LOIS, PEDICURES, SEWING, OUTSIDE PROJECTS AROUND HER HOME AND FINDING SPOTS FOR NEW PLANTS SHE WOULD BRING HOME. IN 1947 SHE GOT HER PRIVATE PILOT LICENSE.

SHE WAS A MEMBER OF THE CHRIST LUTHERN CHURCH IN AURORA, SEWING CIRCLE WHERE SHE MADE QUILTS AND FOR OVER 20 YEARS OF MAKING LARGE BIBS FOR ALZHEIMER’S PATIENTS.

SHE IS SURVIVED BY HER SONS; RICHARD F. WALDREN OF NEWBERG, OR. AND GORDON M. KEIL OF AURORA, OR. DAUGHTER SHEREE D. BRESHEARS OF OREGON CITY, OR., AND STEP-DAUGHTER GLORIA KEIL OF SALEM.ONE SISTER, LOIS SYKES OF PORTLAND, OREGON AND 6 GRANDCHILDREN; RICHARD WALDREN, JR. OF ST. PAUL, OR., AMBER COOK AND WENDY KAY VANDE BRAKE BOTH OF NEWBERG, OR. MICHELLE S. BRESHEARS CAPONIGRO OF VIRGINIA BEACH VIRGINIA, MICHAEL J. BRESHEARS OF HILLSBORO, OREGON AND CHRISTIE M. BRESHEARS CLIFFORD OF SHERWOOD, OREGON.SHE IS ALSO SURVIVED BY 11 GREAT GRANDCHILDREN AND MANY OTHER FAMILY AND FRIENDS.

FAMILY & FRIENDS ARE INVITED TO A GRAVESIDE SERVICE ON FRIDAY MARCH 15, 2019 AT 11:00 AM AT THE AURORA PIONEER CEMETERY IN AURORA, OREGON, FOLLOWED BY A MEMORIAL LUNCHEON AT THE CHRIST LUTHERAN CHURCH IN AURORA.

MEMORIAL DONATIONS IN HER MEMORY MAYBE MADE TO THE CHRIST LUTHERAN CHURCH IN AURORA, OREGON.
