Russell Gene Hogan

Russell Gene Hogan was a hard working man, Father of 3, loving Grandpa, caring son and brother passed away at the young age of 65.
Russ was born to Jerrie and Richard Hogan in Modesto, California on November 11, 1955. Russ was the eldest of 4 siblings, Cathy, Phil, and Brian. Russ’s father worked for California Blowpipe; mother Jerrie was a Nurse. His family had a big yard, family gatherings, and were prominent members to a covenant church.
Russ and his family lived in Trinidad and Eureka for 6 years, Santa Cruz for 1 year, then made their final move to Oregon in 1971, where he resided until he passed.
Russ will always be remembered as a hard working man. He had his own business in Heating and refrigeration. He loved to help people, a lot of his work was done for homemade jelly or hand me down vehicles. He loved to take his mother Jerrie to church every Sunday. Russ loved to eat and would become best friends with every waitress or bartender at his favorite restaurant, “Denny’s”, who knew him as “Russell the love muscle”.
Russ had one biological daughter Brittany Hogan, and with his marriage to Lisa Hogan, gained two step children that he took in as his own, Crystal and Josh Morgan. He was a loving and fun grandpa to 5 grandkids, who miss him dearly.
Russ had such a big heart, he had friends everywhere. He lived his life as a devoted Christian and passed that love of Jesus down to his children. Russ was, and will always be remembered as a devoted family member, whereas, he never missed a gathering. Family was his number one priority, and loved to help people.
Russ was preceded in death by his Father, Richard, his Mother Jerrie.
He is survived in death by his 3 children, Brittany, Crystal, Josh, his sister Cathy, his brothers, Phil, Brian, and his 5 grandkids.
