Patricia Ann Dieker
date of birth November 29 1931
date of death September 18 2020
Patricia Ann Dieker was born in Minneapolis, Minnesota in 1931. In 1943, she moved to Silverton and then to Monitor, Oregon. She graduated from Woodburn Hight School in 1949. In 1951, she married Leonard Charles Dieker in Mt. Angel and they raised six children, largely in Tigard. In 1986 they retired to Canby.
Pat modeled love and generosity throughout her life. In addition to being a caregiver for many years for her grandmother, mother, and step-father, Pat prepared more than 40 refurbished dolls annually, fixing their hair and sewing three outfits each, so children in need of a nice Christmas gift could receive them through the Canby Kiwanis.
Patricia was preceded in death by her father, Henry Olson; her great grandmother, Gertude (Graber) Curley; her mother, June (Curley) Thompson; and her step-father, Arnold Thompson. She is survived by her loving husband and caregiver, Leonard C. Dieker; her children, Kristen Bartanen (Michael), John Dieker (Jackie), R. Joseph Dieker (Mary), Barbara Garner (Ronald), Elizabeth Dieker, and Thomas Dieker (Caryn); nineteen grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren.
