Gordon Lee McCallum

Gordon McCallum passed away from cancer on December 22, 2018 at the age of 75.
Gordon was born in Bloomfield, Nebraska to parents Andy and Phyllis McCallum. He moved to Whittier, California and graduated from Whittier High School. Upon graduation he joined the Army, serving 1 year in the Pentagon and 2 years at the US Embassy in Paris.
Gordon married Louise Richards on Nov 20, 1964. In 1972 they moved to Lake Oswego, Oregon with their 2 children, Keith and Amy. Gordon and Louise moved to Canby in 2011.
Gordon loved his family, his church, and his friends. His hobbies included golf, cards, attending his grandchildren's activities, and his annual pickle canning. Gordon looked forward every year to spending vacation time in Palm Desert and the annual family trip to Black Butte Ranch.
Gordon had a wonderful sense of humor, loved practical jokes, and competing in all games.
Gordon is survived by his wife Louise; son Keith; daughter Amy Krauss (Bob); grandchildren Emily and Natalie McCallum, Sam and Elizabeth Krauss; sister Karen; and brother Joe.
Gordon was preceded in death by his parents Andy and Phyllis; and brothers, David and Gary.
There will be a 1:00 PM memorial service at the Canby United Methodist Church on January 12, 2019 and a Celebration of Life immediately following at Willamette Valley Country Club in Canby.
