June was born January 7, 1928 in Emporia, Kansas to Vernon and Elizabeth Johnson. She passed away on November 16, 2019 at her home in Canby, Oregon. She left this earth peacefully with family by her side at the age of 91.
She graduated from Emporia High School in Kansas in 1946. She married the love of her life Robert C. Postlewait in 1950 in Kansas and moved to Canby, Oregon in the fall of 1950. In 1965 they built their house on 5th Street and lived there together for 25 years. In their retirement years they built a house right next door, moved in and lived together until his passing on May 11, 1998. June was fortunate enough to be able to live out her life in that home they built together.
She is preceded in death by her parents Vernon and Elizabeth; 2 sisters Bettie Postlewait, Doris Forste; and brother, Bert Johnson. June is survived by her two children Dan Postlewait and Cindy Nevill; four Grandchildren Elgin Postlewait, David, Katie and Ryan Nevill; 5 Great Grandchildren, Kadence, Shayla, Henry, Oliver and Noah.
The family would like to extend its heartfelt appreciation to the caregivers and Legacy Hospice who provided wonderful loving care to June.
A private viewing was held for family Wednesday November 27th from 3:30-5 pm at the Canby Funeral Home.
